These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of ExpenseTracker ("Service"), operated by the sole developer Kevin Chirayath ("I", "me", "my"). By creating an account you agree to these Terms.
ExpenseTracker is a personal finance tracking tool that allows you to import bank transaction CSVs, categorize spending, and track budgets. Paid plans also include direct bank connectivity via Plaid. The Service is provided "as is" for personal, non-commercial use.
You must provide a valid email address and keep your password secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. You must be 18 years of age or older to use the Service.
ExpenseTracker offers a 14-day free trial. After your trial, continued use of transaction import and other paid features requires a paid plan:
Billing is handled by Stripe. You authorize Stripe to charge your payment method on a recurring basis. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account settings; access continues through the end of the current billing period.
Referring a friend who subscribes grants both parties 30 additional free days added to their subscription. Referral bonuses cannot be exchanged for cash. I reserve the right to suspend the referral program or adjust rewards at any time.

Your financial data is yours. I do not sell, share, or monetize your data. See the Privacy Policy for full details on how data is stored and protected.
The Pro plan uses Plaid to connect to your bank. By using this feature you also agree to Plaid's End User Privacy Policy. Bank credentials are never stored on ExpenseTracker servers — they are handled directly by Plaid.
ExpenseTracker is not a financial advisor. Nothing in the Service constitutes financial, investment, or legal advice. The Service is provided without warranties of any kind. I am not liable for any inaccuracies in transaction data or for decisions you make based on information in the Service.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, my total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid in the 12 months prior to the claim.
I may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time, which will permanently erase your data within 30 days. Upon termination, access to paid features ceases immediately.
I may update these Terms from time to time. I will notify you by email of material changes. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
